The Oldest Constitution and Oldest Republic (Disrupting Fact #5)

Sorry fellow Americans, Belgians and Norwegians, but the oldest constitution still being used today is (most likely) the one of San Marino, dating back to the year 1600 (almost 188 years before the one of the USA).

Interestingly enough San Marino is also the world’s oldest republic, established in 301AD (about 1190 years before the Americas were discovered by the Europeans).
